This 10 minute online film explores the different ways Cumbria County Council can help the county's growing population of older people maintain their independence for longer.  The film contrasts a typical Cumbria Care residential home, where residents share bathrooms and staff struggle to manoeuvre wheelchairs around cramped corridors and bedrooms, with the space and independence available in a nearby extra-care housing facility.

The idea for Carlisle's first skate park originated from a consultation with young people in Carlisle who said they would like Skate Park facilities in the city.  Now, 2 years later, the Skate Park has become a reality, largely thanks to the efforts of the young people themselves.  Watch the Skate park video to find out more:
