At 09:25 firefighters were called to a report of a casualty on the second storey of scaffolding on Durdar Road. The aerial ladder platform was brought to assist in the rescue and the casualty, a man, was brought down and handed into the care of the ambulance service.

At 01:31 firefighters were called to a report of a cooker fire on Redhills Lane. The fire was out but had left a lot of smoke in the property so the crew used a high pressure fan to ventilate the area. Firefighters gave one casualty oxygen therapy due to mild smoke inhalation and handed them into the care of paramedics.

At 22:09 firefighters were called to a controlled burning at the rear of a property in North Terrace, Bowness-on-Windermere, Windermere and used a hose reel to extinguish it.

At 02:40 firefighters were called to a report of a house fire on Stramongate. Firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control. Five casualties were reported and given medical attention by firefighters and ambulance crews. At least two of the casualties, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital where it has been reported that, despite everyone's best efforts, the female casualty has sadly lost her life. Crews were at the scene for around three hours.

At 13:42 firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle near Village Hall Road. Following the incident the car was left on its side with two casualties trapped inside. Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and used specialist cutting equipment to release them. The two people from the car were taken to hospital as a precaution. Sadly, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.

At 06:51 three fire engines from Keswick and Penrith attended a report of a person in water at Thirlmere, Keswick. Four people were stranded on an island in Thirlmere Reservoir and unable to get back to the lakeside. Fire crews used an inflatable boat with a motor, salvage sheets and lifejackets to rescue the four casualties, passing them to the care of paramedics. Two casualties were taken to hospital for further medical checks. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately two hours and twenty minutes.

At 09:46 firefighters were called to a fire involving the downstairs of a detached house in Dalesman Drive, Carlisle. The crews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and the board isolated the gas supply. Crews were in attendance for two hours and 20 minutes.

At 12:14 firefighters were called to a road traffic collision with persons trapped outside C of E Primary School, Eaglesfield. On arrival the crew found one man trapped and used air bags to secure the vehicle, and cutting equipment to get the man out. Paramedics attended along with the air ambulance.

At 09:55 firefighters were sent to a report of a fire involving the wooden part of an electricity pylon in Lowick Green, Ulverston. The pole was completely burnt out. Police set up a cordon around the incident and temporarily closed the road, due to concerns about the pole now being unstable. The incident was handed over to police, once the fire was completely extinguished.

At 12:24 firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles in Rampside Road, Barrow-in-Furness. One person was trapped in one of the vehicles and needed the help of firefighters to get out. Cutting equipment was used to remove the roof and doors of the vehicle and get the casualty to the care of the Air Ambulance and paramedics. The police also attended.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and searched the ground floor while four firefighters in breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to fight the fire. Two thermal imaging cameras were also in use and the dog was found and rescued.

At 14:29 firefighters were called to a building fire in Buccleuch Road, Barrow-in-Furness. The fire involved a derelict building of complex layout. Five fire engines were called to attend for water supply. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed to the building and two hose reel jets were used to bring the fire under control. The crews were still tackling the fire, which involved the basement of the building, at 17:00. Hot spots of fire, identified by thermal imaging camera, were put out with hose reel jets. Firefighters were at the scene for three and a half hours.

At 11:09 two fire engines from Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale were sent to the A65 Kirkby Lonsdale to deal with a fire involving a wood chip hopper. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. They also used shovels, hand forks, triple extension ladder and spades.
