At 12:55 firefighters were called to a two vehicle collision at Rheda Park, Frizington. Firefighters attended and used electrical cutting equipment to free a woman who was trapped in one of the vehicles.

At 10:49am firefighters from Wigton and Carlisle attended reports of a chimney fire on George Street, Wigton.
On arrival at the two storey semi-detached property firefighters found that the chimney fire was well alight and the building was heavily smoke logged. Crews used an aerial platform, hose reel jets and extended ladders to tackle the fire from above. The fire has since been extinguished.

On 3 December at 11:35pm four fire engines from Workington, Whitehead and Egremont attended Crossfield Road, Cleator Moor. Fire involving outbuilding measuring approximately thirty metres by thirty metres and cylinders. Fire Service used six main jets and four breathing apparatus and remained at the scene for four hours.

At 07:04 firefighters were called to a skip on fire on Scarth Road, Barrow-In-Furness. On arrival the crews, one from Barrow-In-Furness and one from South Lakeland, found the skip full of rubbish and well alight. Crews put out the fire using one hose reel and one main jet to dampen down.

At 13:59 firefighters and a specialist officer were called to the swimming pool in Cleator Moor Road, Whitehaven. The incident involved two chemicals which were being mixed in a bucket and one woman, who is believed to have inhaled fumes, was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for one hour and 10 minutes.

At 07:58 firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving one car on a minor road from Wiggonby to Orton Aikton. Crews used stabilisation equipment and cutting equipment to remove one casualty from a car which was on its side. The casualty was then handed into the care of paramedics.

Shortly before midnight firefighters from Aspatria were called to reports of a car fire near Bank Mill Nurseries, near Wigton. Crews attended and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. At 10:40am firefighters were called to wasteland near Marconi Road in Carlisle following reports of a World War I shell which is 2ft long. Nearby premises have been evacuated. Police and EOD were in attendance. Fire crews left the scene at 1:31pm.

At 15:23 firefighters were called to a road traffic collision between a HGV and a car on the A689 Irthington, Carlisle. Sadly one person died as a result of the accident. Crews made the scene safe and assisted paramedics with two further casualties. Firefighters were at the scene for 35 minutes.
