In Cumbria there are 5 Volunteer Centres (also known as a Volunteer Development Agencies) in Carlisle, Eden, South Lakes, Barrow and West Cumbria. They all provide support at a local level for individual volunteers and volunteer involving organisations. They have six core functions:
