Star rating

In 2008, the Commission for Social Care Inspection (from April 2009 called the Care Quality Commission) in its annual star rating of council performance gave Cumbria County Council's Adult Social Care service two stars (out of a maxiumum of three) and rated:

• its delivery of outcomes as 'Good' and
• its capacity to improve services as 'Promising'.
